Giving new wind to the old sails of the San Nicolò

Europlan's latest sustainable initiative for the environment

Plastic pollution has become one of the biggest problems for the environment and needs to be tackled, both because of its seriousness and because it has been ignored for way too long. Every year, 8 million tonnes of plastic waste end up in the oceans and 700 species are affected by plastic pollution.

At Europlan, we have always been aware of sustainability issues. For this reason, we have teamed up with a local partner to create a new project aimed at reducing the environmental impact and marine pollution.

The old sails of the company's San Nicolò boat, replaced in 2022, have been recycled and turned into practical bags made from 100% recycled materials, available in limited edition.

This project is the continuation of the work from the past years. In fact, many efforts have been made by us trying to turn the world into a better and more sustainable place.

Here are just a few of our actions:

  • plastic reduction
  • alternative mobility
  • renewable energy
  • waste sorting
  • new eco-friendly services
  • energy reuse

As we have always been committed to environmental protection, with this bag we want to do our part and raise awareness among our stakeholders. With "Ross - La Sartoria delle Vele" we have found a company that allows us to support the ethical production of a sustainable bag made of synthetic materials that are difficult to dispose of and are given a new life.

With this initiative, clients can purchase a real piece of Lake Garda history to carry with them all the time. In fact, with its almost 100 years of history, the San Nicolò sailboat is a symbol of Lake Garda.
